What is the best App to trade Cryptocurrencies?
In my opinion, it’s definitely the Binance application.
It has the biggest variety of coins and you can buy crypto with a credit card.
It’s also a very safe app to keep your coins stored on while you don’t trade.
The interface on Binance is for sure the best one for trading cryptocurrencies, the functionalities and charting are at a top level.
On this application, you can trade crypto with leverage, short cryptocurrencies, and even trade Bitcoin futures.
They also have some of the lowest fees out of all cryptocurrency trading apps on the market today.
1. Binance – Best Overall
Cryptocurrencies on Binance
At the moment Binance is the application with most cryptocurrencies available to trade. Use this app to make money with cryptocurrency through your smartphone.
184 coins to be exact, but the list keeps growing.
That’s a massive list and this is one of the reasons you should try it out.
You will never run out of cryptocurrencies to trade.
This is what the market selection looks like on Binance.
Here you are free to choose between fiat pairs, BTC pairs, ALTS, and their own BNB market.
When you trade on their BNB market you trade with the native Binance cryptocurrency.
This coin is called BNB and has a very special feature that I will explain better in the trading fee section.
Just click any pair and start to trade.
Very straightforward.
Binance has over 450 cryptocurrency pairs.
You never run out of options to trade.
Even if you are not a crypto day trader.
Swing traders and longer-term investors also enjoy plenty of coins to choose from.
A lot of these coins are also available for short-sell and margin trade.
Open a margin wallet to use leverage when short selling.
This is very easy and can be done in a few clicks.
Binance has from 5x leverage up to 125x leverage so there is some room to scale here.
Binance payments
- Bank cards
- Cryptocurrency
This is what the deposit page looks like.
It’s very easy to navigate here and the app is very fast which makes things better.
The list of cryptocurrencies seems endless and the variety of coins is a huge plus for Binance.
Remember that you need to verify your identity before you start depositing funds with your credit card.
This only takes a few minutes and all you need is your phone and driver’s license or passport.
When you’ve done that you can add your card details.
While we are in the deposit section, let’s have a look at some more options from Binance.
These are the Margin, Futures, and Lending screens.
Here you can trade cryptocurrencies with leverage, short crypto, and trade options as well.
When you trade futures you can use up to 125x leverage with Bitcoin.
That’s another good feature for the more experienced traders.
As you can see, the Binance cryptocurrency trading app has a lot of functionality and fun things to play around with.
Play around and see which feature you like more.
Trading fees on Binance
The exchange rate is 0.10% on the normal markets.
The trading fee for the BNB market is 25% lower.
The basic fee for the BNB market starts at 0.075%.
These are some of the lowest crypto exchange fees out there.
Another huge plus for this cryptocurrency trading application.
Now, you can do two things to lower your trading fees even more.
If you look at the third image you will see a BTC and a BNB table.
The BTC table is your monthly trade volume.
This basically means the more you trade the cheaper it gets.
This is very good for large crypto traders who are moving a lot of sizes.
The BNB table is a little different.
Binance Trading Interface
Binance has several different interfaces depending on how you trade.
Here are three images of the spot chart, futures market, and options interface.
I’ve been testing these interfaces and they have a lot of options to use.
There are a lot of indicators you can use including Moving averages, Bollinger Bands, RSI, and more.
You can use market orders, limit orders, stop orders, and charts for every trading section.
You can even see your trade history for every market.
There are fully functional order books and recent trade history if you are a day trader and rely on order flow.
You can also flip your phone to the side and use the whole screen for charting.
The lowest chart setting is 1 min!
To summarize things, Binance has it all on their cryptocurrency trading app.
I’m not sure what else could fit in here.
Here is an image of the Crypto converter.
This can be used when you need to swap coins in the middle of a trade session.
This is what the chart looks like on full-screen mode.
Very impressive I must say, and useful if you need to analyze more data.

This also comes with a lot of different indicators as you can see on the right side.
Pros | Cons |
---|---|
A lot of functionality | Not all Altcoins have leverage |
Huge selection of cryptocurrencies | Can’t short sell all Altcoins |

2. Changelly – Best for Coin Swapping
Cryptocurrencies on Changelly
What makes Changelly great is its unique infrastructure.
At the moment they have around 150 cryptocurrencies to choose from and the list keeps growing.
What makes Changelly one of my favorite applications is its easy user interface and the variety of cryptocurrencies.
Changelly is also different from most cryptocurrency trading apps.
This is an intermediary application that is using other exchanges to find cryptocurrencies and good prices.
They don’t have a hardcore trade interface and very good charting like most other exchanges.
What they do have I a very cool algorithm that scans the crypto markets on different exchanges and finds the best prices for you.
Here are some images of their list of cryptocurrencies.
You can filter cryptocurrency prices if you are looking for cheap penny cryptocurrencies to buy.
24h change if you want to see the daily winners and losers.
Or market cap if you want to scan the sizes.
The thing with Changelly is that you can find many different cryptocurrencies thanks to their algorithm.
It’s scanning some of the biggest exchanges like Binance, Poloniex, and Bittrex.
You can see how this is beneficial.
Deposit Methods on Changelly
The application lets you deposit with Credit Card and it’s very simple.
On the first page, you get to choose your currency and which cryptocurrency you want to buy.
The list of coins is very long and you will find most of your favorite altcoins here.
The second page takes you to the card details.
If you have ever bought anything online with your credit card you know the drill.
The last image is just an extension of the second and here you get to fill out your details.
This is all you need to do to deposit funds.
Very simple and easy!
Trading fees on Changelly
The fees are not displayed on the application so I picked them up from the exchange.
The basic deposit fee on Changelly is 5% + the vendor fee of 5%.
Now keep in mind that this is not the trading fee, it’s the deposit fee.
10% fee might sound like a lot when you first look at it but it’s not.
Many crypto exchanges out there are charging the same or more for less service.
When you are buying cryptocurrency with a credit card on Changelly you will find more cryptocurrencies than on most platforms.
And you will be sure to get the most out of your buck because of their algorithm that is scanning order books on several different exchanges.
So since you are not going to trade in and out of the market on Changelly this is not a killer fee.
When you trade crypto to crypto on the app there is a much lower fee.
This fee is only 0.25%.
So when you are looking for a platform to swap cryptocurrencies you don’t need to worry about fees.
This is a huge plus for this application since many traders like to swap coins for the next hot pick.
And this can happen quite frequently if you are an active trader.
Changelly Trading Interface
This cryptocurrency trading app is not a fully-fledged beast.
You can’t use normal charts or use market orders to trade in and out of coins.
On Changelly you exchange coins more slowly.
Here are three images of the exchange screens.
I’ve shown you the list of cryptocurrencies earlier.
When you choose crypto, the next page you land on is the left image.
Here you get to choose if you want to Buy or Sell.
Next, you come to the swap page and here you can choose to go either way.
You can exchange both ways.
On the third image, you get to post your wallet address and click next.
You can choose to use either a floating or fixed exchange rate.
The benefit of the fixed rate is that you know how much you pay.
The floating rate on the other hand is more unknown and can sometimes give you a better deal.
Pros | Cons |
---|---|
Very easy to use | No trading interface |
Big selection of coins | No short selling |
Credit Card deposits | No leverage |
Very good rates | Not a lot of functionality |
Instant exchange | |
Low trading fee |

3. Prime XBT – Best for Day Trading and Scalping
Cryptocurrencies on Prime XBT
On Prime XBT you can trade 5 of the major cryptocurrencies.
Here are three images of what the crypto watchlist looks like.
Just click on the watchlist and all crypto pairs will show in either basic mode or with charts.
This might not be the longest list.
What makes Prime XBT interesting is the leverage they offer.
They offer up to 100x leverage on their cryptocurrency pairs and this is one reason I had to try this app.
You also have the option to short cryptocurrency with leverage and that’s huge.
Sometimes when the market turns sour you just wish that there were somewhere you could short it.
Well, now there is, with extra power as well!
If you want an easy app to handle and a lot of leverage this is a really good choice.
Everything is fast and easy to locate.
It only takes around 40 seconds to register and Prime XBT doesn’t ask for KYC.
Nothing can go wrong and you can trade pretty much instantly if you like.
Deposit Methods on Prime XBT
Prime XBT allows you to make instant Bitcoin deposits and it’s very easy.
When you click copy there will be a message to confirm that you copied the address.
Now go to your other Bitcoin address and paste it.
Super easy and it’s just like any other blockchain transaction.
It takes a few minutes for the funds to arrive.
A pro tip if you don’t have Bitcoin yet.
Log in to the Prime XBT exchange on your computer and deposit with your credit card.
They use Changelly as a payment vendor which is very secure.
Trading fees on Prime XBT
The exchange rate is 0.05%.
They didn’t show the fees on the application so I grabbed them from the exchange instead.
Here is their fee table.
Now, this is also another reason to use it.
If you are going to trade cryptocurrency with leverage, you absolutely need low fees.
The larger your positions are the bigger your fees get.
They are based on your position size.
So if you can trade 100x bigger, your fees will be 100x bigger as well.
But with Prime XBT this doesn’t feel that bad.
I’m very impressed!
Prime XBT Trading Interface
The interfaces on Prime XBT has the basic feature you need.
Here are three images of the charts and I really like them.
Related: Crypto day trading platforms
The first image shows the normal candlestick chart.
It looks really nice. Not a lot of mess and very clean.
The second chart is a line chart of the 15 min chart.
The last image is the table for the day and it shows highs, lows, and the net % change.
It’s not too much but it’s definitely something I will use when I trade.
Sometimes it’s better to have fewer distractions.
When it comes to order selection you have most of the options you can ask for from an application.
The platform has market orders, limit orders, and stop orders.
This will fit almost any crypto trader out there.
You will also find very good stop-loss orders to protect yourself on the downside.
I really like their stop loss functions.
This is something that’s not fully developed on many cryptocurrency apps.
It’s especially important when you trade with high levels of leverage.
Related: Stop loss crypto exchanges
Pros | Cons |
---|---|
High leverage | Not many cryptocurrencies |
Short selling | Not a lot of functionality |
Good interface | App-only accepts Bitcoin deposits |
Very user friendly | |
Fast | |
Extremely low fees |

4. ByBit – Best for Advanced Traders
Cryptocurrencies on ByBit
On Bybit you can choose between 4 cryptocurrencies.
- BTC
- ETH
- EOS
- XRP
These are some of the biggest coins on the market at the moment.
Bybit is not offering many coins at the moment but they have got something else instead.
On Bybit you can trade with 100x leverage on Bitcoin and 50x leverage on the altcoins.
Here are three images displaying the home screen, the chart, and how to locate the cryptocurrency pairs.
You can either browse the coins on the home screen or by clicking on the chart and then clicking in the top left corner.
This will take you to the Inverse Perpetual cryptocurrency pairs.
Just click on your preferred coin and this will take you to the chart.
Deposit Methods on ByBit
On Bybit you have to deposit your selected cryptocurrency.
When you are inside the app, click assets.
Then choose which coins to deposit and then copy the address.
Very simple and it looks like this.
It’s just like any other crypto transfer and very straightforward.
The coins will arrive in a few minutes depending on the blockchain miners.
On the asset page, you can see your P&L.
If you have open orders it shows you the profit or loss on the current coin.
That’s very useful if you have many positions open at the same time.
Trading fees on ByBit
The application didn’t show the fees so I took them from the exchange instead.
Bybits trade fee is 0.075%.
This is yet another reason to use this crypto app.
When you are trading Bitcoin and altcoins with high leverage it’s very useful to have low fees.
Bybit is here to have your back and you are free to trade on as much as you like.
Remember that this is the taker fee.
ByBit Trading Interface
The chart looks awesome and is very responsive.
You can also use the chart on a full screen which helps a lot if you are analyzing crypto technically and fundamentally longer term.
The pre-set chart comes with two indicators but you can customize this as you like.
This charting package has a lot of functionality.
You can add more indicators, use drawing tools and change the entire look of the charts.
Click the Indic. or Adv. and these options will pop up.
This is very good for a trading application.
You can customize this exactly as you want it.
This will suit any trader out there.
You can remove or add any feature you want or don’t want on the screen.
Make it super clean or include as many indicators as you want.
I’m very impressed with the ByBit trading interface.
Here are three images showing the order book, leverage changer, and order selection.
A bonus feature from ByBit is their price notifications which can be found on the main menu.
This lets you track coins and have alerts on certain prices.
Pros and Cons
Pros | Cons |
---|---|
Incredible trading interface | Not many cryptocurrencies |
Very low fees | |
High leverage on altcoins | |
Fast | |
Short selling | |
Price notifications |
We also advise you to look at our Bybit review for more information.
5. Cex.io – Best for Beginners
Cryptocurrencies on Cex.io
You can trade 8 coins in the Cex.io application.
Here is a full list:
- ETH
- Bitcoin Cash
- Litecoin
- Ripple
- BAT
- XTZ
- Matic
- LINK
This list will for sure keep growing as Cex.io is growing in popularity all over the globe and is also a cryptocurrency exchange available in the US.
These images represent the home screen on the application and where to locate the different trading pairs.
Super easy to use.
Just click on the coins tab and select crypto.
You can also choose your own currency in the fiat currency tab.
You can exchange currencies in many different cross pairs.
More on the exchange features in a few minutes.
Deposit Methods on Cex.io
One great thing with the Cex.io app is the ability to add your credit card when you buy crypto.
You can use your available balance on the application if you have deposited it before.
But this is what it looks like when you buy cryptocurrency with a credit card.
The first image is of the home screen.
Click Buy Now.
This will take you to the card page.
Clik new card and follow the instructions.
When you are done with the card details you are free to purchase your coins.
This is why I’ve chosen to put Cex.io in this review.
Not many apps let you buy coins with a credit card and that makes it very easy to use.
You also have the option to deposit cryptocurrency.
Go to the wallet page.
Chose your coin and click deposit.
The next part is like a normal blockchain transaction.
Copy the address and paste it into your other wallet.
After that, it’s a done deal and you are ready to trade.
Trading fees on Cex.io
The exchange fee on Cex.io is 0.25%.
This is the fee table for market makers and takers.
Remember that you are a market taker if you mostly use market orders.
This is because you take orders from the order book.
Remember that you can lower your fee on Cex.io by using more volume.
If you increase your monthly volume you start to lower the trading fees automatically.
This is very good for crypto traders who like to move a lot of sizes.
Cex.io Trading Interface
The first option on Cex.io is the exchange feature.
This is a basic way of exchanging crypto to crypto or fiat to crypto.
The difference between the first and the third image is the way you want to exchange.
You can change it from fiat to crypto or crypto-fiat.
The next option is the real trading interface.
It’s called Trade Pro.
Start by navigating the Trade Pro page on the menu at the bottom.
From there you will get to choose your coin.
If you see something that you like on the charts, go ahead and click go to trade.
This will take you to the order selection.
Here you can choose between market orders or limit orders.
The interface is not fully developed to be called an advanced trading interface yet.
But I’m sure they are working on this.
Cex.io also lets you place price notifications.
This helps you because you don’t need to watch the charts all day long.
You can choose a specific price you want to get notified about and then the app will message you.
Pros | Cons |
---|---|
Buy crypto with Credit Card | Not many cryptocurrencies |
Very easy to use | No short selling |
Price notifications | No leverage |
Very low trading fees | |
Crypto deposits |
You can also read more information about the platform in our Cex.io review.
Conclusion
The best crypto trading app can be hard to find when you don’t have anything to compare it with. Some traders like a lot of leverage, others focus on lower fees and some just want a hardcore trading interface.
