Why Plus500
In this section of our Plus500 review we highlight 6 special features that deserves extra attention.
About Plus500
Starting out in 2008, Plus500 is a well-known and reputable CFD broker in the industry. It is the main sponsor of the football club Atletico Madrid along with other semi-famous sports teams. The main office is located at this address: 1 Siafi Street, 3042 Limassol, Cyprus.
The operating company is called Plus500 Ltd and is also publicly traded on the London Stock Exchange. Plus500 has a goal of being the leading provider of Contracts for Difference in as many instruments as possible including Stocks, Forex, Cryptocurrencies, Commodities, ETFs, Options, and Indices.
Why use Plus500
In my opinion, Plus500 is best suited for new traders who want a simple trade interface with not a lot of extra utility that might be confusing. Here you will get the basic setups for starting out and some tools to use for entry-level traders.
Since this is a regulated broker in several regions of the world it’s highly recommended thanks to the high security and trustworthiness. So if you are a beginner looking for a stable broker, Plus500 is a good choice!
Trading on Plus500
The Plus500 platform is rather simple and well suited for new traders who are interested in getting into day trading. It is very easy to understand and you will have a good time starting out your journey with this broker. Plus500 doesn’t offer any external platforms like many other brokers and has instead focused their efforts on their own platform which is designed to be very beginner-friendly. It’s semi-customizable and you can use both dark and light mode, whichever you prefer.
There are 0% commissions on most products and instead, Plus500 has a price spread which is how they make money. You need to pay the difference in spread to be able to open and close positions. You have the option to try the platform on a demo account before depositing real money. Paper trading is a good way to get to know your broker before you go live.
Paymet methods and limits
Plus500 has all the standard payment options such as Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Bank Transfer, Skrill, iDEAL, BPay, Klarna, giro pay, Trustly, Przelewy24, Multibanko, and MyBank. The minimum deposit is $100, the minimum withdrawal is $50, and there is no upper limit for withdrawal. If you request a very large withdrawal you need to speak to the customer support team to get verified.
Things we don’t like
I must say that I’m very disappointed in the charting and the trading tools on Plus500. The chart is very laggy and can’t be compared to other frontrunners in the industry. The trading tools are also few. Of course, there are the basic technical indicators and drawing tools, but that’s it. There is no fluff when it comes to charting and tools which is very negative for such a big platform as Plus500.
Also, there is no fast way of entering and exiting the market which makes it not ideal for scalpers and fast day traders. There are also no advanced order types to build positions with or hide orders for example. If you are an experienced trader looking for that extra utility you should definitely look elsewhere.

About the special features on Plus500
There are over 2000 instruments to trade on Plus500. This makes it one of the biggest CFD brokers by the number of tradeable products. What also makes it special is very fast and reliable order execution, full regulation in several regions, extremely tight spreads, no fees on deposits, a good rebate system for market makers, and very high security overall.
When it comes to day trading options on Plus500 you have access to a very useful tool called Risers & Fallers. This is a tool that tracks the daily volatility during a trade session. It’s the perfect tool for active day traders to track volatility in both winning and losing markets. This is not a guarantee to make profits but it’s very useful if you know how to trade volatility.
Zero Trading Fee
Plus500 offers a 0$ trading fee on many of their products including Indicies. This means that there are zero fees for opening and closing trades. However, there is a spread difference in the price that you need to pay and this is how Plus500 is making money, but still, it’s commission-free.
Zero Deposit Fees
This is a very nice feature that allows you to make cash deposits completely free of charge. Many brokers charge a deposit fee of up to several % but on Plus500 you can get settled for free. They also offer the most common payment methods and I’m sure you will find a local payment option.
Publicly Listed Company
Plus500 Ltd is a publicly-traded company on the London Stock Exchange. This is quite big for a CFD broker and it’s something to take into consideration when choosing a reliable broker. This increases the trustworthiness of the company and in my personal opinion, I would choose this broker over many others.
Risk Management
Plus500 has a very good risk management tool called Guaranteed Stop. This is a stop loss that will take you out of the market at your chosen price. Whenever the market makes an unforeseen movement you need to be protected and the best way to do so is with a guaranteed stop.
Price Alerts
With Plus500 you can get price alerts through SMS on your mobile phone, on the platform, or to your email. No matter where you are, you will always be notified and never miss a setup. This tool is very useful for traders who can’t stare at the screen all day long but have a good understanding of where they want to enter or exit the market.
Traders’ Sentiment
With this tool, you will get an idea of how the traders on Plus500 are thinking right now. It displays the balance between long and short positions and it can help you judge to make decisions based on actual positions in the market.
